Tehran is prepared to resume nuclear negotiations with Washington provided that it is treated with "respect" and "respect", Tehran's foreign minister has declared.

Abbas Araghchi declared solely negotiations produced results, and shared fresh requests had originated from mediators to resume negotiations with the American leadership. He asserted Iran had zero undeclared nuclear sites, and Iran could not yet allow the global atomic watchdog to access bombed nuclear sites for protective measures.

Walking a Complex Path

Araghchi is treading a complex course since Iran does not want be seen to be proceeding from a situation of disadvantage, and he emphatically stated that Iran had arisen stronger in military terms and mentally from the joint assault on its enrichment centers in June.

He was addressing at a defense forum in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "an absolute privilege to enrich uranium on home soil that it will perpetually retain" – the primary cause of the deadlock in the previous talks.

Earlier Negotiations Abruptly Ended

The prior phases of talks between the US and Iran were ended suddenly and hostile termination on 12 June when Israel, with Washington's assistance, attacked Tehran's atomic facilities in a 12-day war that concluded with Donald Trump claiming the sites had been destroyed. Following this, EU nations used their authority to restore UN-wide sanctions, but Iran asserts they have not had a significant effect.

Ideal Resolution Suggested

Iranian officials stated they felt they had achieved a "magic solution" to the uranium processing matter in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an domestic cooperative with US participation could enrich uranium. Each party would have been able to assert triumph since home-based processing would have persisted and the US could be assured that Iran's atomic project was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been settled in the negotiations that Washington's technical specialists could work on Iranian soil, but that was a logical implication of the cooperative offer. Diplomats stated on multiple occasions they had reached agreement with Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff only for the arrangement to disintegrate due to "detractors in America".

Current Situation

Tehran representatives declared the partnership proposal was now off the table, but it seems highly likely the offer could be reintroduced in some form if talks restart.

Trump in recent days stated he had been getting signals that Iran wanted to restart talks, but privately Tehran representatives claim they are not yet obtaining clear proposals from America either straightforwardly or from key regional mediators, such as the Qatari government, Egypt, Oman and the Saudi kingdom. The Iran's state department has been charged of inactivity in the face of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Tehran asserts diplomacy is not part of a spectacle.

Negotiating Stance

In his speech to the gathering, aimed to paint the US as a dominant force that misuses the notion of worldwide standards, the foreign minister declared the 12-day war revealed the conflict could not be settled by combat operations. He stated the strikes commenced with a US demand for an unconditional Iranian surrender and culminated with an unconditional call for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is assured the initial Israeli attacks were mounted with total Washington understanding and collaboration, making faith difficult to reestablish.

Diplomacy Remains the Ultimate Resolution

The foreign minister said: "It was not Iran that had deserted negotiations; it was the United States and the western countries that had consistently sought to impose their will during the talks. Negotiations can still be alive and remains the final answer to settle disputes, but its standards, regulations and principles must be followed."

"In case they address to the Iranian people with the approach of dignity and honor, they will obtain a response in the same approach."

Recovery and Rebuilding

In what is characterized by Iran's diplomats as the struggle of restoration and recovery, the foreign minister claimed he was assured Iran's security strengths "are much stronger than before 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been restored. We gained many lessons from this conflict; we have discovered our own weaknesses and the vulnerabilities of the adversary."

He stated: "We successfully passed this conflict. Our atomic expertise, which they aimed to destroy, continues to exist. The facilities and equipment, if eliminated, will be restored; what is essential is the resolve of the citizens of Tehran and then the social solidarity that they aimed at, but were unable to shatter. The citizens of Tehran have become more resilient, more united, and more supportive of the leadership and the state in the aftermath of this invasion."
