Intensive Russian Assaults Cut Electricity Across Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has increased attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but decisive action - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing sanctions," he wrote in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen rockets attacked the country's power systems, labeling such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to fix the damage.

A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, according to city authorities.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced intense attacks during nighttime hours. A minor lost their life and three other people were hurt.

The strikes succeed nights of bombing campaigns in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to detect.

Authorities told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the national power system, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for further attacks.
